Surely you find yourself planning your destinations for next summer right now. If you are still not sure what you are going to visit, your solution is in Calpe, one of the most beautiful places on the Alicante coast ..
Calpe is a town where there is hardly any day of the year without the sun, a perfect place for those who seek trips with many hours of beach and places of interest to visit. There is something for everyone!
At the foot of the Peñón de Ifach
Located north of the province of Alicante, in the White shore, Calpe occupies an entire bay that receives the same name. Along it you will find numerous charming beaches and coves. We recommend visiting them in order so as not to miss any. Each one will be a different experience and you can even make your own ranking.
The length of the bay goes from Morro de Toix, to the south, to the Rock of Ifach, to the north, from whose height you can see the entire coastline around. You can even see the islands of Formentera and Ibiza if you are lucky enough to go up on a clear day. This rock marks the end of the Betic mountain ranges and forms its own Natural Park, being one of the hallmarks of the area. At his feet is the Cala del Racó, with the peculiarity of including its own diving route to enjoy the marine fauna and flora.
If you want to visit the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park, you should know that access is free, but you have to book in advance on their website. As a curiosity, the uphill path begins at the Puebla de Ifac, a site of medieval origin, and the interpretation center to learn about the fauna and flora of the place.
