S&M Festival nace con objetivo de reunir durante el mes de septiembre a los mejores intérpretes musicales tanto nacionales como internacionales. Busca S&M, actuaciones con distintivo de calidad, exclusivas y para todos los públicos, sin descartar en su primera edición, como en las siguientes, la programación de otros tipos de manifestaciones culturales.

On the slope of a magical and ancient hill sits the Roman Theater of the Augusta Emerita neighborhood, today known as Mérida. In this public space those residents conceived a place for the performing arts that entertained the people. This function is maintained two thousand years later, with the annual celebration of the Mérida International Classical Theater Festival. But, in addition to serving the noble dramatic art, the Roman Theater is going to become an incomparable musical forum, because to the quality of the proposals we must add the serene beauty of a building that has witnessed the passage of History.
