III Festival Iberian Amateur Theatre in Mérida

From October 7 to 9, it will take place in the towns of Merida, Calamonte, Puebla de la Calzada and Montijothe III Festival of Iberian Theatre Amateur, which will bring together companies from the Spanish and Portuguese states, the result of collaboration between the Federation of Theater Associations of Extremadura (FATEX), the Portuguese Federation of Amateur Theater and the National Scenemateur Confederation. The festival will feature theatrical performances by amateur groups, discussion forums, exhibitions, meetings with students from Language Schools or theater tours.

Friday October 7

9:00 p.m. TRAJANO ROOM OF MERIDA. Representation of the play 'TRENES QUE PASAN' by Rafael Ruiz Pleguezuelos by Palique Teatro. (Winning work of the XII Raúl Moreno FATEX Theatrical Texts Award 2015)

Saturday October 8

10:00 a.m. CAJA BADAJOZ SOCIAL WORK CULTURAL CENTER.
– Iberian Forum of the Amateur Theater.
- Film screening: Anatomy of a festival. FITAG: 5 days to be happy.
– Official opening of the Festival by the authorities.
– Screening of the Mérida International Classical Theater Festival.

1:30 p.m. CITY CENTER THEATRICAL TOUR. 10-minute theatrical performances in Plaza de España, Arco de Trajano, Templo de Diana, Pórtico del Foro and Calle Pontezuelas by FATEX groups.

6:00 p.m. CULTURAL CENTER NEW CITY OF MÉRIDA. Theatrical performance of ‘YERMA’ by Federico García Lorca by the Cultural and Artistic Association of the Lourocoop of Lourosa (Portugal)

In addition, the photographic exhibition of the "III FATEX Theatrical Photography Award" will be inaugurated at the Alcazaba Cultural Center.
