The April fair Seville begins Domingo 30 de Abril de 2017 y finaliza el Domingo 7 de Mayo de 2017. Diversión, alegría, color y fiesta de la primavera garantizada.

La Delegación de Fiestas Mayores presentó el 11 de agosto de 2016 el diseño en el que se inspirará la Portada de la Feria de Abril de 2017. El diseño fue elegido por un jurado constituido por el Ayuntamiento hispalense. Se eligió el proyecto presentado por Hugo Montalban, titulado ‘Seville Universal Culture’.
El diseño de la portada de la Feria de Abril de Sevilla 2017 tendrá como protagonistas el 25 aniversario de la celebración de la Expo 92, la Cartuja y el año Murillo.
El Monasterio de la Cartuja estará representado por los hornos con forma de botella de la antigua fábrica de loza de Pickman. Éstos estarán unidos a la columna central (en la que se insertan representaciones florales de las banderas de países participantes rodeando a la figura central de la mascota, Curro) a través de los arcos del Pabellón del Futuro, y en la parte superior estará la bola naranja, símbolo de la Expo.
THE “ALUMBRAO”
Para los que no son andaluces quizás le suene raro pero sin duda “el alumbrao”pertenece al particular diccionario sevillano, aunque viene de “El Alumbrado”, del verbo alumbrar.
Realmente es algo así como el “Chupinazo” en los San Fermines, representa el beginning of the April Fair de Sevilla y consiste en que la primera autoridad de la ciudad, nuestro alcalde, pulsa un botoncito y poco a poco se van encendiendo las 24.000 bombillas de la Portada. To get there:
