The April fair Seville begins Sunday April 30, 2017 and ends on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Fun, joy, color and a spring festival guaranteed.
April fair
On August 11, 2016, the Delegation of Major Festivals presented the design that will inspire the Cover of the April Fair of 2017. The design was chosen by a jury made up of the Seville City Council. The project presented by Hugo Montalban, titled ‘Seville Universal Culture’.
The design of the cover of the April Fair of Seville 2017 will have as protagonists the 25th anniversary of the celebration of Expo 92, the Cartuja and the Murillo year.
The Cartuja Monastery will be represented by the bottle-shaped ovens of the old Pickman pottery factory. These will be attached to the central column (in which floral representations of the flags of participating countries are inserted surrounding the central figure of the mascot, Curro) through the arches of the Pavilion of the Future, and at the top will be the orange ball, symbol of the Expo.
THE “ALUMBRAO”
For those who are not Andalusian, it may sound strange but without a doubt "el alumbrao" belongs to the particular Sevillian dictionary, although it comes from "El Alumbrado", from the verb to illuminate.
It is really something like the “Chupinazo” in the San Fermines, it represents the beginning of the April Fair of Seville and consists of the first authority of the city, our mayor, pressing a little button and little by little the 24,000 light bulbs on the Front Page turn on. Currently, the Sevilla Centro Motorhome Area is the only guarded parking area for motorhomes that, in addition to having the basic services for a motorhome, has vending machines, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour surveillance, showers for ladies and gentlemen, washing machine, dryer , etc, being situated very close to the center and to the fairgrounds.
We maintain our prices during the fair: 12€/day included emptying grey and black water, in addition to filling of drinking water.
To get there:
Access both from Huelva/Mérida, as well as from Granada/Malaga/Cádiz is done from the SE-30 take exit 12, which indicates The Remedies. Pass over two roundabouts and, prior to the third you will find the right one, the signage of the area.
Turn right and at the bottom close to the river you will find the access road to the Area.
We are a 15-minute walk from the Plaza of Spain and we also have a bike lane, and bus stop just 200metros.
