On March 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. , will take place THIRTEENTH edition of the Half Marathon Merida Heritage of Humanity.

Test that re-organize the club Athletes Popular Merida and that, in this edition, will pay tribute to the athlete from Mérida Elijah Chavete Barroso, founder of the club, who died at the age of 62 last April when he was competing in a trail race in Valencia.

It is one of the most significant races in Extremadura due to the special nature of its route.

And it is that this race, of 21 km, runs along an entirely urban route, passing through the most emblematic places and monuments of the Roman city.

This year, the race will start at 10:30 a.m. and the start is once again on Avenida de la Libertad.

Registration is now open, at a price of 15 euros, and a maximum of 1500 participants, on the web www.mediamaratonmerida.com

Once again, the test has Banco Santander as its sponsor, as well as the Mérida City Council and the Consortium of the Monumental City and also has the collaboration of the Youth and Sports Foundation of the Junta de Extremadura, the Extremadura Federation of Athletics and different clubs and companies.
