Seville Park is an initiative driven by five international companies specialized in the organization of large musical events. Its promoters intend to create in Seville the auditorium covered with the largest capacity in Spain and one of the largest in Europe with the intention of attracting audiences from all over Southern Europe and North Africa at an intermediate point that would be a reference point for the tours of the great stars of the show.

The agreement includes a shopping center, green areas, equipment and tertiary services with an area of ​​465,222 square meters. Just 50 m from this shopping center is the Sevilla Centro Motorhome Area, which will become a privileged destination for motorhome drivers who wish to visit not only Seville, but also this shopping center or the auditorium.

The City Council and the Port Authority have held this month, two years after the formal request made by the company, the monitoring commission for the collaboration agreement that will process the necessary modification of the Special Plan of the Port of Seville for the construction of the complex Seville Park, which includes a covered multipurpose auditorium with capacity for 21,000 spectators, a dock for cruise ships, a shopping center and a Ferris wheel, among other things.

The development of the darsena del Batan and the connection of the Port with the city, which are included in the plan, will be analyzed from the initial strategic document for the specific modification number 32 of the PGOU, which consists of a change of a rating of the soils of the CLH hydrocarbons factory due to the dismantling and relocation of the facilities. This change will be made in compliance with the 2011 ruling and urban regulations, as well as the modification of the conditions of land use in the Batán area to allow connection with the rest of the city.

Once this document has become known, it is expected that it will be sent to the Territorial delegation of Environment and Territory Planning in Seville of the Junta de Andalucía with the aim of requesting the start of the Strategic Environmental Assessment, in accordance with the provisions of Law 7/2007 of July 9 on integrated management of Environmental Quality. In this way, a firm step will definitely be taken for the development of the agreement reached in April 2016 whereby the specific modification of the Special Plan for the Port of Seville of July 2014 was formally withdrawn and a broader management process was initiated for port-city interaction and the dismantling and relocation of the facilities of CLH.
