By: Áreas Autocaravanas - Posted: August 2, 2021

Pass your holidays in the province of Huelva means finding everything you were looking for. Few areas of Spain have the privilege of offering beach and mountains at the same time, which is a perfect option to alternate or even combine. Why not travel the province from north to south or vice versa and discover its beautiful landscapes in full? It is very easy if you have a motorhome, caravan or camper, because in Áreas Autocaravanas You have several spaces where you can reserve a place and organize a very easy tour.

Welcome to the Costa de la Luz

The Huelva bay is the gateway to the Atlantic from which Christopher Columbus set out looking for new routes to the Indies (without knowing that he had reached a new continent). This port to the New World is made up of hundreds of kilometers of beaches that are part of the Costa de la Luz, the other half of which is made up of the Cádiz coastline.

If you usually spend your holidays in Huelva, surely you already know the Matalascañas beach. It is one of the most famous and long-standing, so you can stop by if you are looking for a set place. If, on the other hand, you prefer something quieter, we recommend visiting the virgin beaches between Matalascañas and Mazagón, such as Cuesta Maneli or the Parrot Tower. The natural environment will conquer you. These beaches belong to the municipality of Almonte, whose main urban nucleus is very close to the Finca Casa Halcon, with spaces enabled for motorhomes, caravans, campers and minivans.

At the western end of the Huelva coast you will also find extensive natural sandy areas where you can enjoy a good swim in the Atlantic, very close to Isla Cristina. This town with a seafaring tradition stands out for its rich gastronomy, with an outstanding presence of seafood, how could it be otherwise. You can also visit this area with your vehicle and spend the night in the Camping sites in Playa Taray and the Camping Giralda.

The Sierra de Aracena, a natural paradise to spend your holidays in Huelva

entrance to the castle of aracenaFrom sea level we climb meters until we reach the highest point in the province of Huelva. On the way, we recommend you stop at the Natural Motorhome Area Park, a farm surrounded by nature and located in the heart of the province. A little further north, you will begin to see the Sierra de Aracena. You cannot miss the views from the natural viewpoint of the Motorhome area Centroandévalo, which also has an environment surrounded by lakes where you can practice water activities such as fishing or canoeing.

Once inside the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park, the jewel in the crown is the town of Aracena. You can reach the top and contemplate the views from the Castle of Aracena or go down to the bowels of the earth to visit the Cave of Wonders. You should also get to know the charming town of Alájar and go up to the Peña de Arias Montano or visit Almonaster La Real and Santa Ana La Real, two of the most beautiful towns in the area. Lovers of hiking and MTB you will find the perfect opportunity to practice both sports thanks to a complete variety of paths enabled for it. Many connect the different municipalities with each other, so they will help you plan a quite interesting route.

You can get to the Sierra de Aracena with your vehicle thanks to Camping El Madroñal, located in the very geographic center.

With this plan, who can resist spending their holidays in the province of Huelva? We can assure you that you will not regret it.
