Bodegas Tio Pepe (Grupo González Byass). Sherry. Cadiz

In the first half of the NINETEENTH century Jerez became the wine capital of the world. In 1835 Manuel Mª González Angel joined its savings and it founded a small warehouse, only 20 years González Byass had become the first winery to export wine from Jerez. Constructed his first great warehouses: Constancy, Apostles and the Square, and already half of the century The Shell, attributed to Eiffel, and that of Lepanto. When he died in 1887 he had left not only a booming business, but a set of monuments. A visit to the winery TIO PEPE from Gonzalez Byass in Jerez will take you back in time, to that outpost city of century XIX. That itself is a good glass of Tio Pepe will return to reality...
